We are looking to recruit a Regional Accounts Assistant to assist in supporting Corps officers with their finances
Key Responsibilities:
1. To assist the Regional Team in the support of corps officers, finance locals, corps in their financial activities
2. To assist the Regional Team in the support of divisional leaders in their respective financial activities
3. To assist in monitoring corps budgets, investigate variances
4. To assist in monitoring performance of charity shops, cafes and similar activities of the corps
5. To support the Regional Finance team as required
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
Essential
6. At least two years’ experience in an accounting role
7. Understanding of basic accounting concepts
8. Good oral and written communication skills
9. Good organisational, team-working and inter-personal skills
10. Experience of complex accounting systems
11. Basic Excel skills
12. GCSE including maths grade A to C or equivalent, or NVQ level 2
13. Able to work within The SA’s Christian ethos and key values: integrity; accountability; compassion; passion; boldness and respect
14. Ability to be flexible
15. Eye for detail
16. Customer focused
17. Willing to travel as necessary to visit corps
18. Ability to act in a professional manner with accountability and integrity
Desirable
19. Knowledge of charity accounting
20. Full Driving License
21. AAT qualification or studying for a relevant NVQ, or equivalent
