Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be parted with a leading FMCG Manufacturing group, seeking to recruit their new Head of Supply Chain, based at their manufacturing & head office operation in Blackburn.

Role Overview:
The Head of Supply Chain will play a critical role in ensuring seamless coordination and integration of our end-to-end supply chain activities, from procurement to delivery.
Leading a team across procurement, planning, logistics and warehouse management, you will drive strategic initiatives to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and optimise cost-effectiveness.

The role requires an experienced manufacturing supply chain leader. With in-depth experience across the key functions and an ability to implement and deliver a robust S&OP process which will underpin the platform for future business revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across procurement, warehouse, and planning functions for all company sites.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and professional growth opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with logistics, production, sales, and finance teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and optimise stock.
• Partner with other departments to ensure seamless alignment between supply chain operations and business goals.
Strategic Supply Chain Optimisation
• Develop and lead a robust S&OP process to provide a solid foundation for business growth.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and shorten lead times.
• Align supply chain operations with overall business objectives to support growth and profitability.
Performance Monitoring and KPI’s
• Track, analyse, and report on key supply chain performance metrics, including inventory turnover, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.
• Identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous optimisation initiatives.
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
o Supply chain professional – educated to degree level
o Proven track record in supply chain optimisation and process improvement, within an FMCG / fast paced manufacturing environment.
o Comprehensive knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management and production planning.
o Thorough understanding of a manufacturing S&OP process. Able to lead the development of S&OP for the business and wider group.
Package:
£70,000 - £75,000 + Car allowance + Package
A site based role in Blackburn, with occasional travel to 2 other manufacturing operations.
