Teaching Personnel has an exciting opportunity to recruit for a energetic, confident and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant for an OFSTED outstanding special school in East Bristol. We are looking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for 1 day per week, and a Learning Support Assistant for 4 days per week, initially based at the Junior site. However, there may be opportunities to work across any of the school sites. The Role: - Permanent, full time position with working hours of 8:45am to 3:45pm (including a 30 minute unpaid lunch break) for 6.5 hours a day. - Term-time only, working 39 weeks per year (including 5 inset days), with 13 weeks of school holidays of which 6.6 weeks are paid as annual leave. - Working with pupils who have severe and profound learning difficulties, many of whom have challenging behaviours and are on the Autism Spectrum. - Under the guidance of teachers, you will assist in delivering lessons - Provide direct support to individuals or small groups of children, helping to achieve learning targets Previous experience in a special needs setting is desirable but not necessary This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a rapidly developing school and make a real difference in the lives of our students.
