Your Impact and Responsibilities You'll lead our Financial Accounts team as our Senior Finance Manager. Your role will include: Lead and inspire a team of 13 finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Ensure timely and accurate reporting, including the preparation of management accounts, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Drive operational efficiency by identifying and implementing process improvements in financial systems and reporting tools. Support strategic decision-making through variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and insightful financial commentary. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business, from operational teams to senior management and external auditors. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory standards, maintaining robust controls and up-to-date knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP. Contribute to crucial projects, supporting the Head of Financial Accounting with strategic initiatives and ad-hoc tasks. Skills and Knowledge Required To succeed in this role, you'll need: To be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent). Significant post-qualification experience in management accounting or financial reporting. A strong history of leading and developing high-performing finance teams. Experience in retail or a fast-paced, high-volume industry is highly desirable. Comprehensive understanding of management accounting principles, IFRS, or UK GAAP. Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Ability to priorities competing deadlines and deliver under pressure.
