Business Development Manager Location: Glasgow, Scotland Language : English Type of Contract : Permanent / Full-Time We are seeking an experienced, energetic hands-on Business Development Manager (BDM) with relevant B2B sales experience to help drive business growth across our client’s full product portfolio. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, creative, and hard-working individual. The ideal BDM will have a technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science and a proven track record of selling technical products and solutions. As a BDM you must be able to articulate our client’s technology offerings, benefits and product positioning across all levels from C-Suite to product management to technical teams. We are seeking a hunter who can use their professional knowledge to quickly assess potential business opportunities and win new business to achieve revenue growth. Your primary responsibility will be to generate new account business and grow and maintain existing accounts globally. You will serve as the customer advocate and the "voice of the customer." You must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales engagement lifecycle and build a trusted advisor relationship with existing and potential customers. Responsibilities: • Responsible for sales revenue growth using a hands-on and proactive selling approach. • Collaborate with the senior management team to develop a business plan and sales strategy that ensures achievement of company sales goals and profitability targets. • Generate new leads and opportunities to expand the sales funnel and ensure high conversion of opportunities. • Prepare action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects in target markets. • Identify and develop target market accounts and potential new customers matching sales strategy. • Prioritize opportunities and the specific actions required to capture them. • Work closely with marketing in the development and closing of leads to generate new sales. • Become an expert in our full product offering and capabilities so you can present the best solutions to our potential customers. • Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding key account performance. • In conjunction with Senior Management, develop pricing strategies to maximize profitability. • Maintain records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports using appropriate CRM tools - ZOHO. • Create and prepare proposals and presentations for customers, distributors and channel partners. • Develop detailed knowledge of our customers through visits and develop key relationships (at all appropriate levels) with strategic accounts and partners. • Identify new channel partners for specific product/market combinations and help train them. • Manage the training of channel partners as needed. • Control expenses to meet budget. • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes. • Travel globally to remain close to customers and build stable and lasting trusted advisor relationships. Requirements: • Strong B2B experience in HMI and/or sensor products and solution sales. • Existing relevant industry relationships. • Track record of significant sales growth. • Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales goals. • Experience working with channel partners. • Experience with CRM and digital sales tools – ZOHO preferred. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and interaction skills. • Self-motivated, high energy and ability to work independently as well as part of a global team. • Must be a solid team player. • Positive can-do attitude. • Ability to travel 50% to customer sites, trade events etc. • Based in Glasgow, Scotland.
