We are supporting a thriving legal practice to recruit for a Legal Secretary/Conveyancing Support.
Role: Legal Secretary/Conveyancing Support Staff
Location: London, Greenwich area
Hybrid: 3 office/2 WFH
Salary: c £32,000 will increase to £38,000 subject to successful probation.
JOB PURPOSE
To provide a high quality legal secretarial/conveyancing assistant service and support for the firm's residential legal team.
Key Duties:
* To provide support to the conveyancing legal team including:
* Opening files and sending letters to third parties/clients.
* Typing letters, correspondence, and documents relating to conveyancing work.
* Prepare Contracts of Sale of properties.
* Prepare initial search reports.
* Prepare initial reports on title.
* Prepare TR1.
* Preparation of Oyez forms relevant to property work.
* Use the Land Registry's Online service.
* Stamp Duty Land Transaction Returns.
* Client liaison - Dealing with clients on the telephone and in reception. Passing messages to fee earners.
* General administration - all other required admin duties such as photocopying, filing, scanning, producing labels.
* Working as part of a team and ability to meet deadlines.
Person Specification:
* Relevant experience working as a Legal Secretary.
* Working experience with LEXCEL (accreditation indicating quality in relation to legal practice management standards).
* Working knowledge of conveyancing.
* Strong administration skills.
* Able to:
* Work to deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of typing.
* Work in a fast-paced and busy department.
* Manage a multitude of deliverables.
