Senior Land Manager - Scotland
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 DOE
Piper Maddox are currently working with a hugely exciting renewable energy developer who is looking to build out their in-house capabilities as they move towards transitioning to an IPP model. With nearly 2GW of current grid connections and a total of over 4GW targeted by the end of the year, it is a time of significant development for the team.
This company is looking to build a function in Scotland, starting with a Senior Land Manager who would be responsible for securing and managing land for pre-approved grid connections in the country. This role would be the first hire based in Scotland and would have a significant role in building out the team there.
Your role would involve identifying and securing land for solar, BESS, and wind developments, as well as commercial negotiations relating to land such as heads of terms and option lease agreements. You would also be responsible for engaging with and managing landowners throughout the project lifecycle and consulting on land issues.
Some key information about your role:
1. Highly hybrid/remote working setup to begin with - as this is the first member of their Scottish team.
2. Scope to move into a leadership position within the Scottish function - building out a wider land team here.
3. Strong experience in sourcing new development opportunities is crucial for this position - project origination experience would also be useful.
4. Prior experience in the Scottish renewables market would be valuable for this role.
This position would be a great fit for a Land Manager or Chartered Surveyor who has experience with onshore renewables or other utilities projects. Get in touch for more information!
