The Opportunity
Working as part of the global marketing team at B-Techs headquarters in Daventry, you will be involved in the creation of various digital marketing materials and content pieces, as well as distributing them through typical online marketing channels such as social media, email marketing and posting to the company website. You will be responsible for growing the companys social media presence and maintaining customer engagement through these platforms. You will also assist in a variety of other marketing projects as part of the in-house design and marketing team.
The Person
This role will suit pro-active marketing professionals who have experience creating engaging digital marketing collateral and implementing promotional campaigns and strategies in a product-focused B2B environment. You will be a capable communicator with strong copywriting skills who can identify project aims, self-manage workloads and confidently create and publish work to a high standard. You will be familiar with common marketing and social media practices and platforms and will be aself-motivated, organised multi-tasker whois enthusiastic about brand development.
Key Duties
Managing B-Techs social media presence through regular posts and customer interaction
Creating and distributing marketing emails and newsletters through Mailchimp
Managing email marketing contact database
Writing news articles and content pieces
Writing and distributing press releases to media outlets and tracking published content
Creating and updating website product content
Monitoring and reporting on engagement
Building a network of media contacts
Identifying promotional opportunities within industry media and supplying content
Writing entries for industry awards
Assisting in the preparation of company events and exhibitions
Providing support to the sales team and B-Tech customers by supplying content when requested
Administrative tasks as required
Essential Skills
Comfortable using PC and Windows OS
Confident user of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign
Excellent creative writing skills with perfect English spelling and grammar
Confident posting and implementing cross platform social media strategy
Confident user of Mailchimp for campaign creation, reporting and mailing list management
Ability to work with a pro-active approach to independently identify and complete tasks
Previous experience in a brand building focused marketing role
Desirable but Non-Essential Skills
Experience using website content management systems
HTML or wed design/coding skills
Experience using software from other creative or design disciplines - such as photography / video editing
Experience in the AV or other technology industries
