Role Responsibilities:
* Provide in-class support across multiple subjects including English, Maths, Science, and Humanities.
* Work closely with the class teacher to adapt and differentiate lesson materials to meet individual student needs.
* Offer targeted interventions to help pupils who may be struggling academically or emotionally.
* Support students with additional needs including EHCPs, mild learning difficulties, and SEMH.
* Monitor student progress and behaviour, offering encouragement and guidance throughout the school day.
* Contribute to maintaining a positive classroom environment, promoting the school's high expectations for learning and behaviour.
* Supervise pupils during non-teaching times such as lunch or break, and occasionally during school trips or events.
Candidate Profile:
* Experience working with children or young people in educational, care, youth, or voluntary settings.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
* Patience, resilience, and a calm, proactive attitude in managing behaviour.
* A genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of young people.
* A willingness to learn and take on feedback – the school offers excellent CPD opportunities.
