The postholder will lead a team of duty staff, ensuring effective supervision and deployment to deliver the highest possible standards of customer service. You will be required to ensure the company policy and procedures and Health & Safety requirements are adhered to at all times, ensuring the building security and opening/locking up all areas as per the facility programme. Main Responsibilities Be responsible for the daily operation and security of the building on a shift rota basis. Act as the company’s ambassador when dealing with customer comments, concerns, complaints and compliments. Act as key holder and be available for occasional emergency call-out. Support the Facility Manager with the development of the site programme. Assist the Facility Manager with Quest accreditation. Ensure the Centre is opened and closed in accordance with published times. Be responsible for the highest possible standards of cleanliness, hygiene and service delivery through the effective deployment of all duty staff. Be responsible for carrying out ad hoc and routine technical regimes as determined by the Facility Manager. Ensure a family friendly service is available at all times. Arrange for and/or supervise any emergency repairs or remedial action to the premises and/or equipment. Assist prospective hirers with their requirements. Line manage staff within the centre and liaise with the Facility Manager on any staffing or employment issues. Supervise staff in the performance of their duties together with ensuring safe and efficient working practices are followed. Assist with coordination of staff training and appraisals. Manage regular staff meetings. Support the Facility manager to ensure the centre spend is kept within agreed management guidelines. Arrange for the purchase, safe storage and control of stock, materials and consumables in line with company procedure. Act as First Aid Officer, maintaining the appropriate qualification. Ensure the centre and surrounding area is maintained in safe condition in compliance with health and safety legislation. Ensure the security of all equipment and fittings associated with the use of the centre and take the necessary action to rectify defects. Be able to implement all emergency procedures and coordinate all emergency situations. Carry out any other relevant duties as required, within the scope of the post.
