We are proud to have gained the 5-star standard from Environmental Health for our busy kitchen and Driftwood Café for patients, visitors and staff. Being a Cook with our hospice is a catering job like no other, involving not just making delicious, nutritious meals for patients, but getting to know them and their dietary requirements, and creating tasty snacks for their visitors. Chances are you’ll turn your hand to food for special occasions, too, from weddings on the ward to anniversaries and date nights, making special memories for families at the toughest of times. The working day can start from 0800 and ends by 1800 on a pre-determined shift rota which incorporates weekends and Bank Holidays as this is a 365 day service so a degree of flexibility is required. Opportunity for overtime will be available to cover other Cooks and encouraged.
