About the Role
Gloucestershire County Council are looking to recruit an Equipment Technician, to work in our Tri-Centre workshops team.
As an Equipment Technician, you will contribute to the high standard of maintenance of any vehicles and service equipment.
You will be part of our Equipment Services Team reporting to our Equipment Team Supervisor and Workshop Manager, working together to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the Equipment Services Workshop. You must have a full UK driving licence as you will be required to attend other sites within Gloucestershire County, as necessary.
This role is based in our Equipment workshop and due to the nature of the role does not support remote working.
You will provide advice, maintenance, and repair expertise, over a wide range of safety critical equipment, including mechanical, auto electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic disciplines, to meet the needs of Gloucestershire County Council and Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue.
About You
You will have a friendly personality and be keen to work for a busy team playing a pivotal role within the team workshop setting. We pride ourselves on working closely together to achieve the best outcomes.
You will need to be efficient with time management ensuring that servicing of critical equipment is conducted within appropriate time frames. Ideally, applicants will have an understanding of hydraulic equipment and compressed air systems.
A proven mechanical and/or engineering background would be desirable as well as being methodical in your approach to work.
