Role Overview
We are seeking a diligent and proactive individual to join as Team Leader, Issuer Services Operations. You will oversee daily operational activities related to a book of syndicated loans as a Facility Agent. Your responsibilities include managing the Transaction / SLT team, handling operational processing, resolving process-related queries, and acting as an escalation point for operational matters involving our team, City Offices, Global & Commercial Banking Relationship Managers, Client Service Managers, Finance, and Origination Teams. Our goal is to deliver high-quality client service, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction and maintaining a client-centric approach.
Main Duties
1. Leading, inspiring, developing, and managing team performance
2. Reviewing documentation from an operational perspective
3. Coordinating with Client Service and Transaction Managers on closing process activities (initial drawdown, fees, conditions precedent, etc.)
4. Collaborating with City Sites for static data setup including SSIs and Call Back
5. Managing leverage/par trading with syndications, trade queries, and settlements
6. Checking secondary loan/claim documents and settling trades
7. Maintaining ancillary carve-outs and movements
8. Preparing and managing drawdowns, rollovers, margin adjustments, prepayments on complex transactions
9. Checking and releasing cash flows, reconciliations, and investigations
10. Handling fee settlement and billing (commitment, utilization, SBLC, waiver, agency, upfront)
11. Overseeing daily management of the Transaction team
12. Collaborating with the UK Head on key projects and deliverables
Qualifications and Skills
1. Team leadership or management experience
2. Knowledge of Loan IQ and understanding of the Syndicated Loan product and market
3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for internal and external clients
4. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to meet transaction deadlines
5. Proactive problem-solving attitude
6. Experience in primary syndication and/or secondary trading (desired)
7. Ability to produce high accuracy and volume of work under pressure
8. Experience with complex loan books such as CRE, Leverage, Acquisition Finance, Export Credit, Aircraft/Shipping, Project Finance
9. Understanding of operational risk
10. Client-focused with a commitment to excellent customer service
