Position Overview
The Director, Tax Transformation will report directly to the partner responsible for the Tax department. This pivotal role involves shaping the growth strategy, identifying new opportunities, and managing sustainable growth. The Director will lead large-scale public sector reform and tax transformation programs, collaborating with senior clients and public sector leaders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop innovative solutions for complex client challenges related to tax transformation.
2. Lead large-scale public service reform projects, ensuring client satisfaction and sustained relationships.
3. Manage and develop teams to produce high-quality analysis, presentations, and reports.
4. Drive business development efforts, including sales, proposal design, and thought leadership presentations.
5. Identify opportunities for cross-functional collaboration within the client’s organization.
6. Mentor and coach junior team members to foster their professional growth.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance/economics, or law.
2. Membership in a recognized accountancy body (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent qualification (e.g., MST, Certified Member of the Institute of Professional Taxation).
3. Proven experience leading large-scale transformation programs and delivering high-value tax consultancy services.
4. Strong commercial acumen, organizational skills, and analytical capabilities.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and electronic research tools.
