We are seeking to recruit a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician with substantial knowledge and practical experience within Pharmacy Dispensing Services.

Main duties of the job
You will be supporting the Dispensing Services Manager and Chief Technicians in ensuring the maintenance of an efficient safe dispensing service within our Main Dispensary at The Royal Derby Hospital.
You must have excellent communication and organisational skills to ensure you are able to liaise closely with our service users and Pharmacy colleagues.
The successful candidate will have Dispensary experience, hold a BTEC or NVQ Level 3 (Pharmaceutical Services) qualification or equivalent, and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
We will also consider qualified pharmacy technicians or those due to qualify as a pharmacy technician within 6 months (By September 2025).
The post offers opportunities for development and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to grow and share their development with the department. There will be a requirement to participate in weekend and bank holiday working on a rotational basis.

* Registered Pharmacy Technician; evidence of CPD
* Significant pharmacy experience including experience in dispensing services
* Qualified pharmacy technician or due to qualify as a pharmacy technician within 6 months
* Knowledge and understanding of NVQ Pharmacy Services standards
Organisational Skills
* Able to work under pressure, organise own work and meet deadlines
* Able to demonstrate that they can work on their own initiative but know limitations of own authority and knowledge
