Job overview
Our friendly and growing team is ready to welcome a new team member who will share our passion for improving access and the quality of care for people with eating disorders. This post covers the service in Mid and West Essex, although the post holder would be expected to travel at times to other areas, base being negotiable as either the Derwent Centre or Northgate.
We are now looking to recruit a dynamic, creative, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who has a demonstrable interest and experience of working with clients suffering from an eating disorder. You will receive regular professional and management supervision – as well as providing this to others - and will be supported to develop skills in this specialist area.
Main duties of the job
* To gate-keep referrals into the Adult Eating Disorders Service liaising with referrers and providing advice and support as needed.
* To ensure the effective assessment, care planning and review of patient care and treatment in line with the EPUT CPA policy and procedure.
* To liaise with the provider collaborative regarding specialist out of area eating disorder placements and inpatient providers, when EPUT service users are admitted and to provide a link function for local services and carers.
* To provide highly specialist evidence-based interventions for clients with Eating Disorders, drawing on a wide range of theoretical frameworks and treatment modalities.

Person specification
Education/Qualifications
* RMN or equivalent professional qualification
* Qualification at degree level or equivalent
* Evidence of continuing professional and personal development
* Evidence of training and using an evidence-based NICE guideline intervention in clinical practice for Eating Disorders (e.g SSCM, MANTRA, FBT)
Knowledge
* In-depth knowledge of community mental health services
* In-depth knowledge of wider policy and service issues relating to mental health
* Extensive knowledge of the assessment and treatment of eating disorders
* Knowledge of safeguarding issues and child protection requirements and how these apply to the role
