Job Opportunity: Biodiversity Officer
Location: North Midlands
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week) - would also consider part time
Position Type: Interim
Salary: £40 /hour
Length of contract: 3 months initial, likely extension in April

Essential:
* A qualification in ecology or related field
* Practical experience in biodiversity net gain assessments.
* A proven track record of working within local authority teams.

* Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in partnership working.
* Membership in the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM)
* Strong knowledge of wildlife law, policies, and procedures relevant to planning and development.
* Proficiency in IT tools (e.g., Word, Excel, Access) and specific biodiversity software.
