Job Description:
We are looking for a Production Manager to oversee our operations, drive productivity, and maintain a high-performing, collaborative team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, can manage both people and processes effectively, and takes ownership of workshop scheduling, health & safety, and overall output. If you have strong industry knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to make proactive decisions, this is your opportunity to step into a key role and make an impact.
Responsibilities:
* Leading the team – fostering a positive culture, managing performance, and driving productivity.
* Overseeing workshop scheduling – coordinating labour, materials, and procurement.
* Ensuring health & safety compliance – implementing processes and maintaining adherence.
* Collaborating with internal and external teams to streamline operations.
* Making proactive decisions and solving issues independently.
* Communicating effectively – reporting, giving feedback, and providing updates.
* Bringing industry expertise and hands-on experience to the role.
* Supporting production when needed, using your skilled cabinet-making background.
Requirements:
Must have:
* Strong leadership qualities
* Effective communication skills
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to schedule and plan effectively
* Managerial experience
* Knowledgeable and experienced in a bespoke joinery or cabinet-making workshop
* Proactive and independent
* High-level cabinetry making experience
* Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings
* Experience in managing workshop H&S
* Understanding and experience of Lean Methodology and/or Kaizen
