The role
will mostly be plumbing; however, you will be required to undertake the below tasks when required
1. Electrical
2. PlumbingG3 Certificate in unvented hot water
3. Carpentry
4. Painting and Decorating
5. Plastering repairs
6. Tiling
7. Masonry repairs
8. general building maintenance
9. Grounds work
10. Adhering to Health and Safety legislation, and a safe and secure working environment.
11. Accountable for the quality of the maintenance and repair work delivered.
12. Ensuring that the work delivered meets the correct Unite Students standard.
13. Carrying out dynamic risk assessments to ensure that they are in a safe working environment and escalating issues to their line management.
14. Completing all digital job tickets required for the works they deliver, raising follow on works orders where necessary and to be compliant with Unite Students policies and procedures.
15. Accountable for raising any maintenance, repair concerns that they identify when performing the tasks that they have been assigned.
What We`re Looking for in You
16. G3 Certificate in unvented hot water
17. Minimum of entry level skills in construction to deliver general duties and minor repairs.
18. A level of experience above all else
19. NVQ L2 in other related skills would be useful, but not essential
20. Desirable: relevant construction and facilities management qualifications
21. Have relevant post experience.
22. Be competent and qualified to safely operate tools and equipment.
23. Understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities
24. Understanding of safe systems of work
25. Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
26. Ability to work at pace whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
27. Ability to offer flexibility in working hours and to take part in the on-call rota.
28. Ability to work contracted hours over a 5/7 working pattern.
