Our client has secured an additional 5 years of work with Southern Water and is looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join the team, primarily working in the East of Southern Water's region. The project, worth over £350m, covers multiple sites across Kent and Sussex, including both clean and dirty water facilities.
What you'll do
1. Oversee all commissioning activities, ensuring safety and compliance with company procedures and best practices.
2. Manage the commissioning process from design through to final completion.
3. Report on commissioning progress to the Area MEICA Manager.
4. Monitor testing, commissioning budgets, and manage risk.
5. Conduct commissioning engineer roles and responsibilities, ensuring safe, compliant delivery of schemes.
6. Collaborate with Design Coordinators to incorporate commissioning requirements into the design phase.
7. Review and monitor MEICA project risks and services provided by the employer.
8. Attend commissioning inductions, toolbox talks, and meetings.
9. Review design deliverables such as FDS, equipment lists, P&IDs, and control systems.
10. Oversee and sign off FAT and SAT, and process witness tests.
11. Support the development of commissioning programs and documentation.
12. Work with sub-contractors on commissioning deliverables and interfaces.
13. Assist with training and O&M manual preparation.
14. Distribute commissioning logs, daily diaries, and progress reports.
What you'll need
1. CSCS Card.
2. Fully calibrated testing equipment (calibration certificates required).
3. Previous experience in water or utilities projects.
4. Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
