Job Purpose Statement
As an SAP Programme Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of SAP implementation and enhancement projects, ensuring they meet strategic objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to drive the successful deployment of SAP solutions, enhance operational efficiency, and support business transformation initiatives.

1. Project Delivery
o Timeliness: Ensure that SAP projects are delivered on schedule, meeting all critical milestones and deadlines.
o Budget Management: Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial objectives are met.
o Quality Assurance: Guarantee the quality of project deliverables, ensuring they meet both business requirements and technical standards.
2. Strategic Alignment
o Business Objectives: Ensure that SAP initiatives align with the organisations strategic goals and contribute to business growth and efficiency.
o Stakeholder Alignment: Maintain alignment with key stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring their needs and objectives are met.
3. Risk Management
o Risk Identification and Mitigation: Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
o Issue Resolution: Manage and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal impact on project progress.
4. Team Leadership
o Team Management: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective collaboration, motivation, and performance.
o Resource Allocation: Ensure appropriate resource allocation and utilisation, optimising team skills and capabilities for project success.
5. Communication
o Status Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, including progress, risks, and issues, to senior management and stakeholders.
o Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication between project teams and stakeholders.
6. Change Management
o Change Control: Manage changes to project scope, ensuring they are documented, approved, and communicated effectively.
o Organisational Readiness: Ensure that the organisation is prepared for changes brought by SAP implementations, including training and support for end-users.
7. Compliance and Standards
o Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that SAP projects comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.
o Adherence to Best Practices: Ensure projects follow SAP best practices and methodologies, maintaining a high standard of delivery.
8. Continuous Improvement
o Post-Implementation Review: Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and identify areas for improvement.
o Lessons Learned: Document and share lessons learned to enhance future project delivery and processes.
9. Vendor Management
o Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants, ensuring they deliver on agreed terms and contribute to project success.
o Contract Management: Oversee contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors, ensuring compliance and performance.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall).
* Strong planning, scheduling, and resource management skills.
* Risk management and mitigation strategies.
* In-depth understanding of SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW). Knowledge of SAP implementation and integration processes.
* Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, change management expertise.
* Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
