HGV Technician - Job Overview:
Due to expansion and upcoming contracts, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to join our team. Working for a family-run business in general haulage & specialized mobile medical trailer maintenance and transport. The right candidate will be trained in the repairs and maintenance of specialized medical trailers. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and scheduling maintenance for our customers and internal fleet of tractor units and trailers. This is an opportunity to learn new skills beyond ordinary maintenance. As a company, we aim to be different by carrying out each job professionally and right the first time.
HGV Technician - Duties:
1. Attend call outs across the UK and work on company premises in Manchester.
2. Perform truck and trailer inspections, brake tests, and carry out necessary repairs.
3. Maintain accurate records of every job carried out.
4. Work early mornings, late nights, and through the night as required.
5. Represent the company with a professional and flexible approach, maintaining a can-do attitude.
6. Carry out engineering work on equipment (in-house training provided).
HGV Technician - Requirements:
1. Hold a valid commercial vehicle driving licence category C+E (Class 1).
2. Have the right to work and live in the UK.
3. Ability to drive long hours and travel long distances.
4. Strong time management and organizational skills.
5. Strong work ethic and good presentation, dedicated to ensuring the cleanliness of the allocated van.
