Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Medical Secretary based within University Hospital Crosshouse.
Hours:
37 Hours per week
What you will do:
An opportunity has arisen for a full time Medical Secretary within the ENT Department (Ear, Nose & Throat) at University Hospital Crosshouse. Flexible and enthusiastic, you will provide a comprehensive medical secretarial service within the ENT Department.
Primary duties will include audio transcription of clinic and discharge letters, maintaining and updating computerised waiting list, dealing with telephone enquiries from patients, relatives, GPs and other external and internal agencies.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
Applicants should have a relevant secretarial qualification, e.g. AMSPAR Diploma for Medical Secretaries, RSA or Scotvec qualification. Medical terminology and audio transcription are essential for this role.
