Job Title: Installations / Operations Manager (Solar & Renewables) Location: South Yorkshire Salary: Circa: £45k Car Job Description: Our partner is seeking an experienced and motivated Installations / Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of renewable energy installations, including Solar PV systems and Heat Pump systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing installation teams, resolving on site issues, ordering materials, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Experience in Solar PV installations is essential, while knowledge of Heat Pump systems or roofing / structural work is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate installation teams across various projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Oversee the installation process of Solar PV systems and Heat Pump systems where applicable. Assess and understand different roof types, structures, and load-bearing capabilities to ensure safe and compliant installations. Resolve on-site issues efficiently and effectively, providing guidance and support to teams as required. Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment to meet project requirements. Monitor progress and quality of installations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns. Maintain accurate records of installations, including risk assessments, method statements, and completion reports. Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Required Experience: Proven experience managing installations in the Solar PV industry (essential). Strong knowledge of various roof types, structures, and best practices for installations. Experience with Heat Pump systems or relevant renewable technologies (desirable). Background in roofing or structural work may be considered if Solar PV experience is limited. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members. Full UK driving licence. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of Heat Pump systems and associated technologies. Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to renewable energy installations. Previous experience in managing budgets and cost control for projects.
