Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to lead and oversee the launch and scaling of our first UK-based clinic. This role requires a seasoned healthcare operations professional with a clinical background (e.g., nursing), who has experience building and scaling healthcare services, whether in private healthcare, hospital departments, or high-growth healthcare start-ups.
As the UK Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end operational setup and ongoing management of GluCare’s London clinic. This includes ensuring smooth clinic operations, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient experience, and strategic growth. You will work closely with the executive team and medical leadership to drive operational excellence while ensuring our high standards of care and digital health integration are upheld.

Key Responsibilities
* Clinic Setup & Operational Launch:
* Lead the establishment of the London clinic, overseeing licensing, facility setup, and regulatory compliance.
* Develop and implement operational workflows, patient pathways, and clinic protocols.
* Recruit, onboard, and train clinical and non-clinical staff in alignment with GluCare’s standards.
* Ensure full CQC (Care Quality Commission) compliance and regulatory adherence.
* Operational Leadership & Performance Management:
* Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency in patient flow, appointment scheduling, and clinical services.
* Implement best practices in healthcare operations to drive efficiency, quality, and patient satisfaction.
* Lead and manage clinical and administrative teams, fostering a culture of excellence.
* Monitor KPIs, including financial targets, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
* Strategic Growth & Business Development:
* Develop and execute growth strategies, including new services, partnerships, and patient acquisition.
* Identify and implement revenue-generating initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
* Work with marketing and business development teams to build the clinic’s brand presence in London.
* Digital Health & Innovation
* Integrate GluCare’s digital health solutions into operational processes and patient care.
* Leverage wearable devices, AI-driven patient monitoring, and telehealth services to enhance care delivery.
* Ensure seamless data collection, analysis, and utilization to support personalized patient care.
* Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
* Maintain compliance with UK healthcare regulations, including CQC, NHS guidelines, and data protection laws.
* Implement quality assurance programs to monitor and improve patient outcomes.
* Ensure clinic policies align with patient safety, infection control, and risk management protocols.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
* Education & Certification:
* Degree in Healthcare Management, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Clinical background (e.g., nursing, allied health, or medical) is highly desirable.
* Additional certification in Healthcare Operations, CQC Compliance, or Digital Health is an advantage.
* Experience:
* 8+ years of experience in healthcare operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record in start-up, scale-up, or launching new healthcare services.
* Experience in private healthcare, hospital management, or high-growth health tech environments.
* Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, UK healthcare policies, and private sector patient care models.
* Skills & Competencies:
* Strong operational leadership and team management skills.
* Proven ability to set up and scale healthcare services efficiently.
* Strategic mindset with business acumen and financial oversight experience.
* Excellent problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
* Experience with health tech, digital health tools, and EMR systems.
