The Role: Corporate Risk Solutions - Relationship Manager
Location: London (regular travel to Reading office)
Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS) is a division within M&G Life with a remit to design and deliver bulk purchase annuities and alternative de-risking products for Defined Benefit pension schemes. Due to ongoing success and a strong opportunity, the team is adding headcount in a number of areas.
The CRS Relationship Manager is responsible for ensuring that transactions are executed in a sustainable and scalable manner alongside post-execution management of selected CRS transactions.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
* Contract Management of CRS transactions.
* Pre-sales support to the CRS Solutions Director in relation to operational clauses.
* Relationship Management of external CRS counterparties including Trustees and Reinsurers acting as the key point of contact for both internal and external parties.
* Responsible for the collation of all reporting data including having overall responsibility for the quality of all external deliverables.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on challenges to assumptions and calculations.
* Development of an operating model for the operation of Reinsurance contracts including embedding appropriate controls.
* Drive continuous improvement through innovation and the seeking out and acting on new opportunities.
* Provide management information to appropriate governance forums.
* Support the delivery of other elements of the CRS business plan.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Strong analytical or actuarial skills.
* Financial Services & Insurance knowledge, especially around defined benefit pension de-risking, with profits, reinsurance, and investment solutions (including Defined Contribution investment solutions).
* Experience of managing a number of internal parties to ensure delivery of contractual deliverables.
* Experience of managing external counterparties.
* Passion for the customer.
* Pension Technical knowledge.
* Effective written and presentation skills.
* High degree of honesty, integrity, and discretion.
