Art Technician Term time only, 15 hours per week (Monday to Friday ideally) From December 2024 Band D points 4-5 £24,404 - £24,790 per annum pro rata Actual salary: £8,255 - £8,386 per annum The Role We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative art technician with immediate effect. The role is to support a team of four art teachers and will work alongside them and students. You will be self-motivated and typical tasks include: Typical duties will include: • Prepare materials/resources for lessons, activities, demonstrations and exams as instructed • Assist teaching staff with student supervision during practical work • Maintain a clean, safe and orderly working environment • Clean equipment • Routine inspection of equipment to ensure in good order and safe to use, reporting the need for major repair or servicing as necessary • Assist with preparation of exhibitions of students’ work • Routine day to day servicing of equipment • Monitor stock levels, ensuring appropriate stock is available An art background would be beneficial, but training for the role can be given. The role requires the post-holder to be pro-active to plan ahead; have an attention to detail and have good communication skills. Working Hours The working hours are: Monday to Friday ideally 3 hours per day but can be negotiated for the right candidate.
