We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Development Management Area Team Leader (MG6) to join our organization. Your excellent communication skills will be vital as you will present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Development Management team, ensuring effective performance and team development.
Oversee the processing of planning applications, ensuring compliance with local and national policies.
Provide expert advice on development matters to internal and external stakeholders, including elected officials and community groups.
Monitor and manage the delivery of service standards and ensure continuous improvement in functions.
Collaborate with other departments and agencies to promote integrated development management and address cross-cutting issues.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals and community needs.
Represent the organization at public meetings, inquiries, and consultations, effectively advocating for development initiatives.
Requirements
A degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field.
Proven experience in development management or town planning, ideally at a managerial level.
Strong knowledge of planning legislation, policy frameworks, and sustainable development practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing teams.
Ability to analyze complex information and make sound decisions based on a variety of factors.
Proficiency in planning application software and relevant technical tools.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 08:30
End Time: 16:45
Pay Per Hour: £42.46
Location: Bromley, South East London
