An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Communities department at Sefton Council. You will provide a strong, visible, and proactive support to the Council’s plan for building stronger communities working collaboratively within our localities. You will also have thematic, boroughwide responsibility for supporting delivery of the Council’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion strategy. A key element will be working on the Southport recovery action plan and facilitating community cohesion work. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of the best possible outcomes for our communities and for you to play an active role in the development of approaches that create a sense of belonging for all our communities. What you will need to succeed We want someone who recognises the benefits of diversity, works effectively, and can build positive connections between different people and communities, partner agencies, private sector providers, public agencies, voluntary bodies, and statutory authorities. Evidence of successful project management, balancing priorities, applying rigorous monitoring and control procedures, and ensuring value for money is essential. You will also be responsible for designing and delivering training and other interventions.
