Global Mobility and Immigration Specialist
The Global Mobility and Immigration (GM&I) team is responsible for managing and maintaining all International Assignments, International Transfers and Cross Border Compliance across the Millennium group.
The GM&I specialist must be able to interpret and explain assignment programs/policies, immigration requirements for locations, cost estimates, effectively communicate and maintain good relationships with stakeholders, liaise with vendors, create and explain key analytics of GM&I case activity.
Reporting to the Global Mobility & Immigration Manager, the GM&I Specialist is responsible for individual mobility caseload management, including (not limited to): formulating the appropriate program and level of support in association with the HRBP’s and Business Leads; required liaison with and coordination of vendors; conduct appropriate due diligence for the cross border proposal; production of cost projection estimates; communication of policy and package details to individuals going on assignment as well as to other stakeholders; coordination with immigration, tax advisors and relocation companies.
The GM&I Specialist will be part of supporting drive processes, infrastructure improvements as the function continues to grow. Must be able to work independently, apply sound judgements and be solution driven.
The GM&I Specialist must be conversant with/possessing a good understanding of all international mobility disciplines including: immigration, tax, social security, contracts and systems.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Application/execution of GM&I policies, programs and communications
2. Manage mobility cases start to finish
3. Review cost projection estimates
4. Provide technical guidance and due diligence to the business areas across GM&I areas
5. Prioritization and timely execution/delivery of work
6. Forming and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and vendors
7. Ability to create presentations (PowerPoint) for use with stakeholders
8. Able to provide clear explanation and guidance to the business across the GM&I policies
9. Create and maintain case progress reports and other analytics reporting
10. Coordination with external partners and vendors
11. Assist with supporting the GM&I team the development of the GM&I programs and infrastructure
Expectation of Role
12. Support in managing and coordinating day to day mobility aspects, including with our vendors.
13. Provide advisory support across the business on mobility matters, with the ability to adapt and tailor mobility solutions to the situation and needs of the business.
14. Identify challenges and roadblocks proactively, and effectively partner internally and with outside vendors as required, to support with providing innovative solutions to mobility issues
15. Assist in driving and developing a centre of excellence for GM&I issues at Millennium.
16. Build relationships and work closely across the differing functions / areas of the business e.g. HR, Payroll, Tax, Finance and Legal, to provide solutions based approach fit for Millennium.
17. Provide day to day operational assistance to Millennium to resolve complex global mobility
Qualifications/Skills Required
18. University degree preferred though not essential
19. 4+ years of GM&I experience, ideally with in-house experience in the financial services sector
20. Technically proficient in GM&I disciplines, including experience with EMEA immigration, APAC immigration experience desirable.
21. Strong verbal and written communication skills
