We have co-located midwifery-led unit and a stand-alone midwife-led unit at Barking. We have a state of the art simulation centre to support high fidelity multi-disciplinary obstetric emergency training, as well as a bespoke and comprehensive in-service education programme. Main duties of the job As a Maternity Health Care Assistant at Booking Centre you will be working as a member of the maternity team, assisting the Midwifery staff with supporting the care needs of women and their babies. To undertake assigned tasks and appropriate interventions for women and their babies with minimal supervision but under the direction of the midwife. The post holder will be able to work in a flexible manner regarding hospital/community placements and shift patterns depending on the needs of the service.
