We are offering an exciting opportunity for band 5 Therapeutic Radiographers to join our team in a forward thinking radiotherapy department at Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff and Radiotherapy Satellite at Abergavenny.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Therapeutic Radiographer wishing to expand their knowledge and experience at a purpose built Cancer Centre, providing world class cancer care to the people of South East Wales.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is required to work within a large multi-disciplinary team involved in the care of patients undergoing radiotherapy including pre-treatment, on treatment, and on treatment review.
The radiotherapy department currently consists of 5 Varian linear accelerators (3 Halcyon and 2 Truebeam STx with ExacTracimaging) and 3 matched Elekta Synergy linear accelerators - all with cone beam imaging. The department also has 2 Siemens CT simulators, HDR Flexitron and Xstrahl orthovoltage.
We provide a clinical service that provides specialist techniques such as VMAT to treat SABR, STRT/SRS for benign and malignant brain lesions. We also undertake SGRT, IGRT, TBI, and paediatrics techniques amongst others.
You will be required to help organise various departmental tasks, including the supervision and teaching of students.
In addition, you will be required to work flexibly according to the demands of the service, including weekends, extended hours and on-call potentially across more than one site.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
