The successful candidate will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems to ensure the project runs smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Installation & Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures in both commercial and residential environments, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure precise installation and alignment with the project specifications. Compliance: Ensure all plumbing installations comply with local plumbing codes, safety standards, and regulations, performing necessary inspections and tests. Preventative Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Carry out regular preventative maintenance checks on plumbing systems and troubleshoot any issues or faults that arise on-site. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard. Health & Safety: Strictly adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a safe working environment for all staff. Customer Service: Provide high-quality service to site managers and stakeholders, addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Requirements: Qualifications: A fully qualified plumber (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) with relevant certifications. Experience: Proven experience in commercial plumbing, particularly with large-scale construction projects, including new builds and refurbishments. Skills & Knowledge: Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and health and safety regulations, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues efficiently. Teamwork & Communication: Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and liaise effectively with project managers and other trades.
