Lead Our Highways Laboratory:
Theis part of Hampshire Engineering Services within the Universal Services Directorate of Hampshire County Council. We are a forward-thinking business that provides a range of services to the County Council and other public authorities and private clients.
From our dedicated testing facility at Micheldever Station we offer pavement investigation, materials testing and on-site attendance to ensure material compliance and assist with design.
The Laboratory has undergone a period of transformation and as the Business Lead you will be responsible for providing dynamic leadership to the staff, overseeing the technical work undertaken at the laboratory, contribute to the development of the strategic direction of the business and have an integral part in client liaison to actively manage work requests, from both internal and external clients, to ensure they meet the desired cost, time and quality output.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in construction materials testing, a good knowledge of UKAS requirements, experience of managing staff, strong relationship management skills and an ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of peers, colleagues and stakeholders.
