The Radiology Research Team is recruiting!
This is a full-time post (1.0 WTE) for four months due to the funding allocated for this specific project. This can be either as a secondment if you are already working at LTHT or as a fixed-term contract. It is ideal for an already experienced band 5 Clinical Trials Coordinator or an experienced band 4 Senior Clinical Trials Assistant wishing to take on more responsibility and autonomy. This post will be based at St James's Teaching Hospital.
The post holder will actively contribute to the conduct, coordination, and delivery of the Better Medicine project Building a Deep Learning Pipeline for Automatic Localisation and Classification of Cystic Renal Masses into Bosniak 2019 Categories from Multi-Phase CT Examinations.

Main duties of the job
The main tasks are:
1. Screening large amounts of patient data and diligently applying the specified inclusion and exclusion criteria.
2. Ensuring all datasets are fully anonymized; the candidate needs to be familiar with applying and adhering to the principles of data protection and patient confidentiality.
3. Working independently and autonomously, with minimal supervision.
4. Liaising and collaborating with wider members of the MDT working on this project.
5. Learning and adapting quickly to the new role and tasks to deliver the requirements efficiently and timely.
6. Retrospectively identifying a minimum of 200 eligible patients.
7. Assisting in the retrospective acquisition of a minimum of 200 de-identified data sets, consisting of CT reports and histopathology reports.
8. Working in conjunction with the research project pathologist to identify suitable cases based on protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria.
9. Collaborating with the R-DIT (research digital informatics team) to pass information for the extraction and de-identification of the CT images and accompanying clinical data.

The post-holder will be educated to degree level or equivalent, or be able to demonstrate relevant experience commensurate with this post. They would be expected to have experience of working in an organisation which includes interaction with multiple departments or organisations.
