Let's show the world how amazing Northern Ireland hospitality is Roles Available - Front of house team (£12.21 p/h) – Bar, Mixologist, Wine, Plate & Barista Front of house (£14.18 p/h) - Team Leaders Back of House team (£12.21 p/h) – Kitchen Porter, Keg Changers & Stock Rotation & Kitchen Assistants Team members must be available to work all 7 days from Monday the 14th - Sunday the 20th of July 2025. Types of Service - The Open caters for o many different types of hospitality, from the busy retail Bars along the course, to entry level hospitality to high end fine dining and everything in between: Street Food, Buffet's, Afternoon Tea's, Take Away options, 4 course plated menus, and much much more. This allows opportunities for everyone to find a home that they can thrive in and be confident and comfortable working in, no matter where your experience is within the industry. What happens next - Applications shall be reviewed from March. Informal telephone chat from March for anyone who does not attach a CV or has less than 2 years hospitality experience to have a better understanding of your experience and to get to know you a little better (Not all positions need previous experience - for me having the right attitude, personality and character is what is most important as we shall do full training per event and make sure that you have all the skills and information you need to smash your time at The Open out the park) Invite to Assessment Days - These dates are on the 11th, 17th & 18th of May 2025 from either 9am-1pm or 1:30pm-5:30pm. Within these 4 hour sessions you receive a mini induction of the event itself, Absolute Taste as a company, The R&A and all the information you need on MAPAL training, Pay rates, Pay Days, Uniform, Checking In & Out, Security on event, Accreditation, Right To Work, a breakdown of all our different area's within Retail & Hospitality and the differences on services between each area. Full training on Plate service, Bar service and Wine service. This is also a great opportunity to meet new people that are also working the event and ask lots of questions. Online MAPAL Training - This covers Allergens, Food Safety Level 2, Health & Safety Level 2 and more. This is done at your own leisure on an online platform - but most be completed by the 1st of June in order for you to be able to work The Open. There is also a 2 hour payment made in your payslip post event for the time spent completing these modules. On Site Training & Briefing day - Your 1st shift shall be in your area of work without any guests (6 hours for Hospitality & 4 hours for Retail) - where your Manager, Supervisor, Lead Chef shall go through your area in great detail, going through menus, training, standards of service, what to do in different situations and walking through your back of house areas and where everything is and bringing the team together.
