Set in peaceful, rural surroundings in Cheshire, on the outskirts of Warrington, C Squared Architects is ideally located close to J10 of M56 and J20 of M6 for those that want to get out of the city centre and spend less time commuting. We are situated in a friendly communal office development, within a barn conversion, with ample free parking on site.
We work a four and half day week, finishing at 1pm on Fridays. We also offer one day working from home for those that are looking for hybrid working and endeavour to provide the flexibility that is needed for modern working and finding the right work-life balance.
C Squared Architects work across a number of sectors including designing extra care facilities, large and small scale multi-home residential projects, and industrial buildings but we are best known for our award winning work in healthcare industry. As a result, we can offer a diverse range of projects to our staff and are looking for talented individuals to help deliver the next generation of facilities and homes for an ageing population.
Projects range across all RIBA stages from design inception, working closely with clients, to delivering planning approvals and ultimately turning those approvals into reality on site. We have a variety of care home projects on the books, each with a value of circa £10m, candidates with a residential background would also be well suited given the number of residential projects we have in the office. These include retirement living apartments and small scale housing developments.
We are looking to speak with UK based Architects, Architectural Technicians and Technologists, local to the practice, with at least 5 years industry experience to join our team. We have opportunities at both mid-level and senior-level for construction specialists to take the lead on projects within the practice. The role will see you liaising directly with clients, contractors and design team members to fully coordinate projects on site so good communication skills are essential. The ideal candidates will be capable of managing their own workload to meet deadlines as well leading a small team of people in the office to ensure smooth delivery of technical packages. Your responsibilities will include carrying out site visits / attending site meetings and will give you chance to see the projects as they progress. You will need a high level of technical construction knowledge as well as an in-depth understanding of UK Building Regulations.
Whilst we primarily work in Revit, we can offer full training and encourage all our staff to continually develop their knowledge and skills through courses and further studies to suit their passions. AutoCAD skills and use of Microsoft Office are essential and a good knowledge of SketchUp and is preferable.
