We are recruiting a Social Worker at Caerphilly County Borough Council. Working hours: 37 hours Contract Type: Fixed Term for 2 years Location: Ty Tredomen This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Family and Friends Team We pay an attractive salary of £37,938 - £40,476 and offer access to training and development opportunities. This post attracts a Market Supplement of £3,383 per annum, in addition to the annual salary, which will be paid in 12 monthly instalments. We are looking for a Social Worker to the Family and Friends Team, who manage those children who are subject to PCCP, Kinship Fostering arrangements and children on Special Guardianship Orders. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and reviewing the support needs of both the children and their parents/carers. You will be required to attend court to ensure the most appropriate Order is in place i.e. when considering revoking Care Orders or converting Care Orders to Special Guardianship Orders. You will have excellent assessment skills and the ability to engage with children and their families effectively, with a focus on wellbeing and safety of the child. You will be skilled in developing and sustaining effective multi-agency working and will closely collaborate with professionals of every discipline. With a remit spanning the assessment and support of Connected Persons, you will be guaranteed different challenges every day.
