We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Accounting Manager to join Norgine.
The person holding this position will report to the Group Financial Controller and be a member of the global Finance team.
The core responsibility of the Group Accounting Manager is to support GBS with any elements of the consolidation process under their responsibility, whilst maintaining responsibility for the overall timeliness and accuracy. Ensuring that robust reconciliations and reviews of key consolidation areas have been completed (e.g. reserves, foreign currency translation, intercompany eliminations). Calculation and posting of the monthly profit in inventory elimination (ICPIS). Preparation of technical accounting position papers to support key judgements or accounting decisions made by the Group. Monitoring accounting standard changes and working as needed with outside advisors to quantify the impact for Norgine. Managing the Group's chart of accounts within the financial reporting system to ensure it meets the Group’s statutory reporting needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
* To ensure the timely and accurate preparation of Norgine's consolidated month end results
* Providing guidance to key stakeholders (GBS, Operational Accounting, Financial Controllers) on month end Group Reporting requirements and timing
* Preparation of the consolidated monthly cashflow statement and cashflow reporting slides for the monthly exec pack, including preparing summary insightful commentary for the Executive Leadership Team and Board
* Supporting with preparation of high quality Lender Reporting for submission to the Group's banks
* Being the finance lead for ESG and EU Taxonomy reporting
* Preparing the Group's consolidated Annual Report and ensuring this is filled on time and complies with applicable requirements
* Providing guidance on technical accounting matters and maintaining an awareness of future changes that might impact Norgine
* Being a key contact for the external auditors for the Group Consolidation audit
* Ensuring, through working with key stakeholders across finance, that all the Group's intangible assets are regularly reviewed for impairment
* Applying a process improvement mindset to help make the month end process more efficient
* Preparation of Balance Sheet commentary explaining key movements year on year
* Assist with setting of Group reporting policies and procedures
* Completion of quarterly and year end reporting to GSAM corporate team
* Support with the technical accounting of in-licensing or other M&A activities as they arise

Requirements:
* Chartered Accountant or equivalent
* Finance background: solid experience collaborating in a multinational environment
* Deep knowledge of multicurrency consolidations
* Experienced in manufacturing cost accounting and intercompany sales and transfer pricing product flows
* Thorough knowledge of IFRS (Dutch GAAP and UK GAAP is an advantage)
* Strong leadership, management, and organisational skills
* Strong analytical and reasoning abilities with superior numerical skills
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
* Results driven with the ability to balance other business considerations
* Motivated self-starter with the ability to function independently and multi-task
* Strong team working showing ability to collaborate well and positively influence others
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office; JDE accounting software experience is an advantage
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, other European language is an advantage but not essential
* Must be confident dealing with external auditors, coordinating the audit process to ensure high-quality responses are delivered and audit requests returned within required timelines
