The Role:
As a Lead Installation Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering large installation scopes of analysis in Project / Tender / FEED phases.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Developing the overall installation analysis scope package, including but not limited to Flexible / Umbilical / Cable Lay, Structure, and Mooring installation.
* Supporting the in-place analysis scope of static Flexible flowlines and jumpers.
* Coordinating a team of analysis engineers (typically from 2 to 8) to meet required engineering works, optimisation, workload, schedule, etc.
* Supporting various training and continuous improvement initiatives, such as:
o Developing internal tools, guidelines, templates, and training material.
o Encouraging knowledge sharing within the discipline.
o Supporting trainees and less experienced engineers.
* Identifying the scope of work, specifications, schedule, and inter-discipline requirements at the start of the Project / Tender / FEED.
* Understanding project/client expectations and gathering applicable past lessons learnt.
* Identifying the required project interfaces and agreeing on a schedule and resource plan with department managers.
* Organising KOM with the analysis team, installation method team, discipline managers, and project engineering manager.
* Assisting in the preparation of estimates for bid proposals, including technical query reviews, execution statements, and manhour estimates.
* Preparing discipline engineering design basis, philosophies, technical specifications, and design reports as required during the Project / Tender / FEED.
* Performing and reviewing the OrcaFlex analysis to confirm adherence with the agreed design brief and basis, ensuring that QA/QC processes are correctly followed in the team.
* Delivering relevant project interfaces and ensuring alignment with other design engineering departments, Installation Method Engineers, SPS suppliers, Clients, Engineering Managers, and Flexible / Umbilical Engineers.
* Organising regular meetings with the analysis team and maintaining the action register, including regular reporting on document progress, resource mobilization planning, manhour tracking, and ensuring technical changes with respect to the base scope are tracked properly.
* Attending project review meetings, vendor meetings, and engineering meetings organised by other disciplines.
* Organising and chairing the analysis engineering review (internal and external).
* Participating in customer and third-party technical audits on engineering deliverables and vendor documents.
Your Profile:
* Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical / Structural / Civil / Hydrodynamic engineering; Master's degree or PhD preferred.
* Relevant experience in the oil and gas industry or equivalent, with a preference for EPCI contractors or consultants predominantly performing construction and installation design.
* High working knowledge of design techniques and installation analysis in OrcaFlex, with an understanding of applicable standard codes (e.g., DNVGL-ST-N001).
* Experience in developing small engineering teams.

Working Conditions:
* Home office site - Sutton
