Are you an experienced Lead Software Engineer looking to take ownership of high-impact projects in a growing team? This is a unique opportunity to join a highly collaborative group of 11 engineers, working on cutting-edge FPGA-driven solutions within a well-established and forward-thinking organisation.
This role is fully on-site, Monday to Friday, at a modern engineering and manufacturing hub near Woking. You will be working closely with mechanical, optical, and electronic engineers, driving embedded software and FPGA development forward while shaping the future of the in-house software team.

Architect and develop high-performance embedded software solutions with a strong focus on FPGA integration.
Lead technology strategy, evaluating new technologies and implementing best practices for scalability, security, and maintainability.
Oversee system design and integration, ensuring seamless functionality across embedded and PC-based software systems.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the long-term growth of the in-house software team.
Ensure compliance with security and best-practice software development standards.What We Are Looking For
A minimum of 10 years' experience in software development, including 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong expertise in FPGA programming and embedded software development.
Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or similar languages for embedded applications.
Experience with microservices, APIs, and modern software architectures.
Knowledge of video processing and digital imaging technologies is beneficial.
Ability to work on-site, five days a week, within a collaborative engineering team.What’s On Offer
