We are seeking a skilled and organized MCAD Librarian to manage an international MCAE Component Database (CCD) Library, specifically for Creo Parametric. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the library in supporting design and engineering activities. The MCAD Librarian will be responsible for developing and maintaining the library, supporting end-users, managing international collaborations, and ensuring that the library meets the needs of all stakeholders.
Library Development and Maintenance:
* Create new library parts and packages in line with company and industry standards for Creo Parametric.
* Initiate investigations and gather data to define component elements, verifying their accuracy in Creo Parametric.
* Develop related symbols in accordance with relevant company graphic symbol standards and font guidelines, and define necessary attributes for the Component Database (CCD).
* Proactively maintain and manage the library to identify and resolve potential issues within Creo Parametric.
* Monitor updates and modifications from international teams, ensuring feedback is provided and library integrity is maintained.
* Identify opportunities for library improvements and implement solutions to enhance the MCAE CCD Library’s efficiency.
User Support and Training:
* Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to design engineers regarding the selection, usage, and management of MCAE components in MatriX.
* Maintain and enforce company MCAE CCD library standards, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring the library can adapt to evolving technologies.
* Offer training sessions to help users fully understand and optimize the use of the MCAE component library.
International Collaboration and Data Management:
* Oversee the daily international exchange and synchronization of the library, ensuring seamless updates and consistency.
* Perform library analysis and generate statistics related to the usage and performance of the Creo Parametric library, interpreting data to support decision-making processes.
* Serve as the main point of contact for engineers, component managers, and other teams regarding CCD Library-related inquiries and data.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Essential Skills:
* Proven experience in managing MCAD libraries, particularly in Creo Parametric and MatriX.
* Strong understanding of component data management, part creation, and maintenance in an engineering environment.
* Familiarity with company and industry standards for CAD libraries, including graphic symbol and font guidelines.
* Experience in training and supporting design engineers in the use of MCAD systems.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams.
* Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with library analysis tools and reporting systems.
* Fluency in multiple languages (particularly in English and French) is advantageous for international collaboration.
