Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time, permanent, Admin Supervisor within our Diabetes/Metabolic Service. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person with a flexible approach to provide support to the Diabetes Nursing Team ensuring a first-class service is delivered to our patients. The post holder will ensure all administrative processes are followed in providing a streamlined service to our patients, Diabetes Nurses, clinical team and external agencies. Main duties of the job The role primarily involves typing correspondence, managing patient appointments, dealing with phone queries, managing rotas and providing supervision, training and support to a small team of reception staff. Applicants should possess an NVQ3 in Business Administration and be educated to GCSE Level A-C/4-9 (Numeracy and Literacy) standard or equivalent typing/keyboard qualification or have 2 years proven experience in a similar role. Applicants will need excellent organisational skills, a flexible approach to work and possess an empathetic nature to be able to confidently deal with patient queries.
