Position: Sales Manager (with Bid and Tendering Expertise)
Location: Near Epping in Essex.
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (with additional commission and incentive plans to be developed collaboratively)

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales operations and drive business growth. This role is pivotal in expanding our market presence, managing bids and tenders, and enhancing client relationships.
The ideal candidate will combine exceptional communication skills with expertise in business development, proposal management, and negotiation to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Management:
1. Oversee the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation to contract closure.
2. Formulate and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business targets.
3. Manage and optimize the sales pipeline using CRM tools and sales funnels.
2. Bid and Tendering:
1. Identify tender opportunities and lead the preparation and submission of competitive bids.
2. Develop compelling proposals and value propositions tailored to client needs.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure bids are compliant with regulations and aligned with company goals.
3. Business Development:
1. Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities for growth.
2. Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base.
3. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, addressing their business needs and demonstrating the value of our solutions.
4. Reporting and Analysis:
1. Track sales performance, analyse data, and present regular reports to senior management.
2. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies accordingly.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience in sales management and business development, preferably in the boilers, heating, or renewable energy sectors.
* Expertise in bid and tendering processes, including proposal writing, value proposition development, and contract negotiation.
* Strong understanding of pipeline management and CRM systems.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve and exceed sales targets.
* Experience in managing large-scale projects, including liaising with councils or commercial clients, is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with operational workflows, including surveying, logistics, and quality assurance.
