Role: Cheetham Hill Construction is a family-run business that has been operating for over 55 years. We are looking for a Design Coordinator, who will manage the design aspects of design and build construction projects to ensure that projects meet client specification requirements/scope and adhere to all building regulations/standards, planning requirements, etc. Based at our Bury Head office, the role will also involve visits to site or the Client’s offices as required.
As part of the team working on projects across the north of England up to £10m in value, we will expect you to:
* Administer design subcontract including assessing monthly invoices for payment.
* Facilitate resolving design issues.
* Implement corrective measures for identified distractions or issues.
* Arrange and chair the Design team meetings to lead the process with consultants and subcontract designers, issuing minutes and ensuring the resulting actions are actioned.
* Carry out technical reviews of any proposed works to ensure contractual and technical compliance.
* Provide design support to Project Management teams.
We’re looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who is self-motivated and able to present ideas effectively. In addition, you will need to be computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Project and have a valid CSCS Visitor card.
