Job Title: Senior Procurement Manager

Salary: £66,500 + depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
1. You will be responsible for managing supply chains in support Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul operations for our platforms (including support to platforms of our sister businesses) on a global basis, responding directly to operational needs.
2. Accountable for leading a team of managers and professionals, managing a project, contract or specific work package of spend across the source to pay lifecycle or leading a strategically important/very complex supplier or experienced subject matter expert with extensive procurement knowledge.
3. You will work with the team and cross functionally to drive supply chain solutions, requiring the job holder to plan, deliver and deploy appropriate procurement and potential logistics interventions and resource in support of business aims.
4. You will manage supplier relationships for allocated area of responsibilities and utilise market insight, external and internal best practice to drive business change.
5. You will be responsible for key supplier performance measures linked to functional and business plan, this includes but is not limited to savings and value targets, supplier delivery, supplier quality and relationship management.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
1. Experience of sourcing, negotiation, and contracting with key suppliers is essential, alongside subcontract management for project delivery, preferably within an aerospace or defence environment.
2. Good project management skills, product awareness, commercial acumen, financial awareness, risk and opportunity management.
3. Good understanding of external environment and relevant market intelligence over a range of product categories, preferably within a defence arena.
4. Significant people management experience of leading diverse teams of professionals, alongside working in a dynamic project environment.
Desirable:
1. Experience in aerospace or defence, particularly with an MRO background.
2. Achieved or studying towards MCIPS or a relevant business degree.
