Job Description: Science Technician
Position Overview: Support the Science department by preparing resources and maintaining facilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare practical resources and maintain laboratory facilities.
2. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
3. Support teachers and students with technical advice.
4. Assist in practical classes and demonstrations.
5. Manage the storage and accessibility of chemicals and equipment.
6. Perform risk assessments for technician activities.
7. Keep stock records and liaise with suppliers.
8. Follow school policies on confidentiality and data protection.
9. Promote safeguarding and welfare of children.
Requirements:
1. Relevant experience in a similar role.
2. Strong understanding of health and safety in a lab environment.
3. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
4. Commitment to continuous professional development.
