About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Civil Engineer / Construction Manager to join a well-established company working on innovative water and flood-related infrastructure projects. This role is perfect for an experienced professional with a strong background in civil engineering, project delivery, and construction management.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in water, flood protection, or similar industries and be adept at design, feasibility studies, and managing construction projects from conception to completion. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions while ensuring projects adhere to regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop designs for projects, ensuring feasibility, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Work closely with project delivery teams to plan and execute large-scale construction projects.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and manage risk assessment throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct feasibility studies, infrastructure assessments, and design calculations.
Organize site investigations and liaise with clients, stakeholders, and authorities.
Provide technical support to project teams and assist in project estimation.
Interface with suppliers and subcontractors for technical queries and project specifications.
What Were Looking For
Experience: 10+ years in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Industry Knowledge: At least 5 years experience in the water, flood, or similar industry .
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Project. Experience with FEA software for ground and water loadings is advantageous.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (ICE accredited). Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
Personal Attributes: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
