Responsibilities: As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with SEMH needs. Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment. Support students in managing their emotions and behaviours effectively. Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to implement individualised education plans. Encourage and promote students' social, emotional, and academic development. Requirements: As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you should have: Previous experience working with SEMH students or in a similar role is highly desirable. Patience, resilience, and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by SEMH students. Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students. A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
