Logistics done differently.
We are looking for a Maintenance Handyperson to be primarily based at our main hub in Crick (Northamptonshire). Working closely with the Compliance Manager and Regional Facilities Manager, you’ll be supporting the site with a variety of maintenance tasks, with a requirement to travel to Milton Keynes & Leicester when to support facilities requirements at those sites (ad hoc basis). The role is Monday to Friday, working on average 40 hrs, but some level of flexibility is required where needed.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re offering a salary of £29,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 20 days holiday and you’ll also have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
1. Minor maintenance works (eg painting, repairs, moving furniture) & general warehouse duties
2. Water management/testing (Legionnaires) – training will be provided
3. Spillage response – training will be provided
4. Liaising with contractors
5. Active monitoring of H&S compliance across the site
What you need to succeed at XPO:
1. Essential: good level of experience in basic maintenance tasks and use of tools (both hand and power tools)
2. Essential: Excellent communication skills
3. Essential: Ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team
4. Essential: Good eye for detail
